AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To drive the security strategy in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will lead the development of AI security functions, oversee security engineering teams, and enhance operational security while reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, while driving the security roadmap and ensuring secure design practices
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including security reviews for fundraising and customer engagements, and maintain compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern application security tools
• Proven track record of building new security functions from the ground up
• Experience managing corporate IT functions, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Demonstrated executive presence and ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
