AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

Leading the development of AI security strategies, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will establish a robust security framework, oversee security engineering operations, and enhance enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving initiatives such as secure-by-design practices and automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while facilitating customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise clients
• Deep understanding of AI security challenges and solutions, including prompt injection and data exfiltration risks
