AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will establish an AI security function, oversee security engineering, and enhance operational security while collaborating with senior leadership and representing security to executive teams and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and automated response playbooks
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, manage security narratives for fundraising, and ensure compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and security engineering practices
• Proven ability to build new security functions and manage corporate IT aspects related to security
• Executive presence with experience in engaging with boards and enterprise customers on security matters
• Genuine interest and knowledge in AI security challenges, including prompt injection and model-mediated data exfiltration
