AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To define AI security for a rapidly evolving company, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will lead the establishment of an AI security function, oversee security engineering and operations, and manage corporate IT while ensuring compliance and enterprise trust.

Key responsibilities

• Stand up the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Lead security engineering teams in AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving secure design and automated response initiatives
• Own the security narrative for enterprise sales and fundraising, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Deep technical knowledge in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers
• Comfortable managing corporate IT as part of the security mission
