AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives at an AI-native company, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will manage the development of AI security functions, oversee security engineering, and ensure compliance with enterprise trust standards while operating in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the creation of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and identity management
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer security reviews, while maintaining compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during hypergrowth phases
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience managing corporate IT and identity governance as part of the security mission
• Excellent executive presence and communication skills for engaging with boards and enterprise customers
