AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will manage the end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations, focusing on developing AI security capabilities while maintaining robust security fundamentals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and agent identity management
• Oversee security engineering teams, driving secure design practices and automated response playbooks across applications and cloud environments
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including security reviews for customers and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical knowledge of AI security, cloud-native security practices, and modern application security tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership and manage corporate IT security
• Demonstrated bias toward enabling secure, efficient operations while minimizing low-value controls
