AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To define and build AI security capabilities, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will manage security strategy, engineering, and operations while overseeing the development of an internal AI gateway and enhancing security for consumer-facing AI surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway with robust access controls and monitoring
• Oversee security engineering efforts, including AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, while driving initiatives for secure design and automated response
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for fundraising, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards and facilitating customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical background in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Experience building new security functions from the ground up, including team formation and control implementation
• Proficiency in managing corporate IT aspects related to security, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise clients
