AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security initiatives at Engine, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will manage the development of AI security functions, oversee security engineering and operations, and enhance enterprise trust while collaborating closely with senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of internal AI gateways and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, ensuring secure-by-design practices and automated response playbooks
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer reviews, while maintaining compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical background in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Deep understanding of AI security challenges, including prompt injection and model-mediated data exfiltration
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive teams and manage corporate IT functions as part of the security mission
