AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering and operations, and enhance enterprise trust while collaborating with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving initiatives for secure design and automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for fundraising, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI requirements and facilitating customer security reviews

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and security engineering practices
• Proven ability to build new security functions and teams from the ground up
• Experience with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
