AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead security initiatives at a growing AI-native company, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will be responsible for establishing AI security functions, overseeing security engineering, and managing operational security while collaborating with executive leadership and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateway and agent identity models
• Lead security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving the security roadmap and team development
• Oversee operational security measures, ensuring compliance and trust for enterprise customers while supporting fundraising efforts

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Deep technical knowledge of AI security, cloud-native security practices, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
• Familiarity with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
