AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations for a rapidly growing AI-native platform, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will establish an AI security function, oversee security engineering, and manage corporate IT while ensuring compliance and trust with enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving secure design and detection engineering initiatives
• Manage corporate IT functions, ensuring effective identity and endpoint management while supporting security objectives

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in hypergrowth environments
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build and lead new security functions from the ground up
• Experience in securing AI or LLM products and familiarity with PCI-regulated environments is a plus
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
