AI Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security initiatives at a dynamic AI-native company, the full-time salaried AI Security Vice President will oversee the development of AI security functions, manage security engineering teams, and enhance operational security while ensuring compliance and trust for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of internal AI gateways and robust security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving the implementation of secure practices and automated response protocols
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer reviews, while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth or major fundraising
• Proven expertise in cloud-native security, particularly with AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Strong understanding of AI security challenges, including prompt injection and data exfiltration risks
• Experience building new security functions from the ground up, not just managing existing ones
• Ability to communicate effectively with executives and lead security reviews for enterprise clients
