AI Security VP

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI security, the full-time salaried VP of Security will own the end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations, focusing on building new AI security capabilities while maintaining a robust security posture in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the internal AI gateway and security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee security engineering efforts, driving the roadmap for AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec while managing a team of security professionals
• Own the security narrative for enterprise trust and fundraising, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while managing corporate IT functions

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Proven technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and AppSec tooling
• Strong understanding of AI security challenges, including prompt injection and data exfiltration
• Experience building new security functions from the ground up, not just maintaining existing ones
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
