AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at an AI-native company, the full-time VP of Security will build and oversee the AI security function, manage security engineering teams, and ensure enterprise trust while operating in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the AI security function, including internal AI gateway controls and consumer-facing AI surface hardening
• Lead security engineering efforts, driving secure design practices and enhancing security operations across the organization
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, security diligence for fundraising, and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern application security tools
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience managing corporate IT functions, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Strong executive presence with the capability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
