AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at Engine, the full-time VP of Security will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating closely with senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and robust security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving initiatives like secure-by-design intake and automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for fundraising, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably through hypergrowth and fundraising processes
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity management and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Ability to effectively communicate with executives and lead enterprise customer security reviews
• Current knowledge and conviction regarding AI security challenges and solutions
