AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried VP of Security will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating closely with senior leadership and the board.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and agent identity management
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and automated response strategies
• Manage operational security measures, including insider threat monitoring and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards, while supporting enterprise sales initiatives

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience in managing corporate IT, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers effectively
