AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations at an AI-native company, the full-time salaried VP of Security will establish AI security functions, oversee security engineering, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating closely with senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an internal AI security function, including agent identity management and prompt abuse detection
• Lead security engineering teams in enhancing application security, security architecture, and operational security measures
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including customer security reviews and compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern application security tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up
• Experience with corporate IT governance, including identity management and SaaS administration
• Excellent executive presence for engaging with boards and enterprise customers on security matters
