AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in an AI-native environment, the full-time salaried VP of Security will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering, and enhance operational security while reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including developing an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving secure design and automated response initiatives
• Own enterprise trust narratives for fundraising and sales, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while managing corporate IT security

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with over 5 years in leadership roles, preferably during hypergrowth phases
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with boards and enterprise customers on security matters
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to privacy and security, particularly in high-transaction environments
