AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy and operations in a full-time capacity, the VP of Security will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering and operations, and ensure enterprise trust while working closely with senior leadership in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and implementing automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust initiatives, including security diligence for fundraising and customer reviews, while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
• Familiarity with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
