AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security strategy at Engine, the full-time salaried AI Security VP will build and manage the AI security function, oversee security engineering and operations, and ensure enterprise trust while working closely with senior leadership and executive teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the internal AI gateway and agent identity management
• Oversee security engineering teams and drive initiatives for secure design, access management, and automated response playbooks
• Manage enterprise trust efforts, including security diligence for fundraising and customer reviews, while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years in leadership roles, preferably in high-growth environments
• Strong technical expertise in cloud-native security, including AWS identity and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Deep understanding of AI security challenges and solutions, including prompt injection and data exfiltration
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
