AI Security VP

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time salaried VP of Security, this role will own end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations, focusing on building AI security capabilities while maintaining a strong security posture in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway and hardening consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee Security Engineering, driving initiatives in AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec while managing a team and corporate IT functions
• Develop enterprise trust and readiness for Series D fundraising, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while managing customer security reviews

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years in leadership roles, particularly in hypergrowth environments
• Deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience in building new security functions from the ground up
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
• Comfortable managing corporate IT aspects as integral to the security mission
