AI Security VP

Job Summary

To lead the security initiatives at Engine, the full-time VP of Security will manage AI security strategy, engineering, and operations while building new capabilities to address emerging threats in an AI-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of internal AI gateways and robust security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Oversee security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, driving a secure-by-design roadmap and enhancing detection engineering
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding diligence, ensuring security compliance and building trust artifacts for enterprise sales

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles through hypergrowth and fundraising processes
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven experience building new security functions from the ground up
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
• Familiarity with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
