Key responsibilities
- Define the overall AI architecture for the phone and design AI agent interactions
- Establish context and memory systems for understanding user activities and preferences
- Evaluate the feasibility of running AI capabilities locally versus remotely and work with Android engineers on system-level AI execution interfaces
Required qualifications
- Strong backend and distributed systems engineering experience
- Experience building production AI agent systems or complex orchestration systems
- Strong understanding of LLMs, tool calling, and structured outputs
- Experience with context engineering and stateful workflows
- Strong system design and architecture skills
