AI Systems Engineering Instructor

Job Summary

To support a growing program for experienced engineers transitioning into system architecture roles, the part-time AI Systems Engineering Instructor will host live sessions, review student projects, and provide architectural feedback in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Host weekly live sessions focused on system design and decision-making processes
• Run group office hours and individual sessions to assist students with projects and capstone assignments
• Review student projects against established rubrics and provide detailed architectural critiques

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a senior software/systems architect or senior backend/infrastructure engineer
• Proven experience designing and shipping systems at scale within a real company
• Depth of knowledge in system design, API architecture, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems
• Ability to diagnose and critique architectural decisions in real-time
• Strong command of English (C1+) for instruction and review, with comfort using AI tools in technical work
