Allowables Representative

Job Summary

Supporting the Allowables Manager, the full-time remote Allowables Representative will assist in reporting and resolving over and under allowed claims while managing appeals and monitoring progress.

Key responsibilities

• Run specific payer under and over allowed reports for submission to carriers
• Complete necessary appeals and follow up on their status with carriers
• Consult with the Allowables Manager on unusual circumstances and perform additional duties as requested

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum three years of medical billing experience preferred
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Patient Accounts is essential
• Knowledge of physician billing policies and procedures beneficial
• Proficient in Excel and Word
