Amharic Interpreter

Job Summary

To support effective communication, the contracted Amharic Interpreter will facilitate interpretation between Amharic and English speakers while working remotely and ensuring a professional environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to the interpreter's code of conduct
• Utilize industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical terminology
• Participate in internal professional training and report to the team leader

Required qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Amharic
• Minimum of 3 years of interpretation experience
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
• Ability to explain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication
• Based in the US with a steady wired internet connection
