Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Data team as one of its first hires, the full-time remote Analytics Engineer will own the transformation layer between raw data and business decisions, focusing on modeling data in dbt, defining certified metrics, and establishing standards for analysts and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of a world-class metric layer, including modeling conventions, project structure, testing, CI, and documentation
• Design and maintain the certified KPI layer for product, finance, and company-wide topics, ensuring it withstands audit scrutiny
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to evolve the data warehouse architecture and create trusted, reusable data products

Required qualifications

• Expert knowledge of dbt and advanced SQL, with a strong grasp of dimensional modeling and incremental patterns
• Proficiency in the modern data stack, including BigQuery or similar, Python, and BI tools such as Looker
• Demonstrated rigor around data quality, including testing, documentation, and reconciliation
• Strong ability to understand and translate varied stakeholder requirements into well-documented models
• Bonus: Experience with billing, subscription, and ARR data modeling or serving data to LLM-based agents
