Leading a team of analytics engineers and web analytics specialists, the full-time remote Analytics Engineering Team Lead will manage the semantic layer, design SQL-based models, and automate data curation processes to ensure reliable datasets for the business and AI applications.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow the analytics engineering team, setting priorities and maintaining delivery rhythms
- Own the semantic layer by designing and evolving SQL-based models and metric definitions
- Automate data curation processes to transition from ad hoc requests to reusable, well-documented datasets
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, data, or BI engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Expertise in SQL and Python, with the ability to optimize queries and manage production components
- Proficiency in data modeling and pipeline design, including experience with cloud stacks like AWS
- Strong understanding of engineering discipline, including code review standards and data validation
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build consensus across teams and time zones
