Android Engineering Team Lead
Job Summary
Leading a team of 3 to 5 Android engineers, the full-time Android Engineering Team Lead will manage the development of system-level apps for an AOSP-based Android TV product while collaborating closely with client engineering and product leaders in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Android engineers, ensuring delivery against sprint commitments
- Guide the design and development of system apps, troubleshooting issues across the software stack
- Oversee the team's production support and incident response, maintaining system health and reliability
Required qualifications
- BS or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years in Android development with Kotlin and/or Java
- 2+ years of experience managing engineers, including hiring and performance management
- Strong experience with modern Android development, including Jetpack Compose and Room
- Familiarity with the AOSP build system and debugging tools such as adb and logcat
