Android Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a Software Engineer on the Android team within Passport & Commerce, the remote position will design and build Android features that enhance account functionalities for millions of guests and hosts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and owning features from technical design through launch.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement Android features using modern UI and state management architectures
• Collaborate with product and design teams to create polished and accessible Android experiences
• Write maintainable code and actively participate in code and design reviews while troubleshooting performance issues

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional Android engineering experience, particularly in large-scale consumer apps
• Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android architecture, including Jetpack Compose and dependency injection
• Experience integrating APIs and ensuring consistency across platforms (iOS and web)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver features from design to launch with increasing scope and independence
• Strong understanding of mobile app performance, accessibility, and CI practices for consumer applications
