Job Summary
Partnering with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, the full-time remote API Monetization Field Specialist will serve as a technical expert on API usage and pricing, helping to size deals and build trust with customers while advising on deal terms.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Executives on deals involving API usage and platform consumption
- Explain API mechanics and usage patterns to customers, using a forecasting model to size deals
- Meet with customers' technical teams to scope requirements and validate usage assumptions
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in a technical, customer-facing, or pricing/consumption-modeling role
- Deep fluency in APIs, rate limiting, and usage-based pricing models
- Experience partnering with sales teams on complex technical or commercial deals
- Strong communication skills with credibility among technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to translate field and customer feedback into product or pricing input
