Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Curating and managing security vulnerability submissions, the full-time remote Application Security Engineer will triage and validate incoming data for bug bounty programs while communicating with clients and researchers regarding additional information and incident response for high-severity issues.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and validate security vulnerability submissions for accuracy and severity
• Communicate with clients and researchers to gather additional information as needed
• Handle incident response for high-severity vulnerabilities, escalating issues to clients

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or prior security consulting experience
• Demonstrated passion for security assessment research with published work
• High proficiency with Burp Suite and familiarity with industry-standard tools (e.g., nmap, sqlmap)
• Ability to manage individual projects while contributing to team efforts
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
