Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Driving application security and DevSecOps practices across the software delivery pipeline, the full-time Application Security Engineer will work closely with data scientists and software delivery teams to ensure security is integrated from code inception through deployment while monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure technical security standards are understood and followed by collaborating with engineering teams
• Automate security testing and manage vulnerability assessments within the CI/CD pipeline
• Monitor security alerts and serve as a first responder to security incidents, ensuring timely remediation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or Cybersecurity Monitoring
• Experience with SIEM platforms, preferably Microsoft Sentinel, and EDR tools
• Knowledge of application vulnerability management tools and software supply chain security
• Familiarity with major programming languages and cloud security concepts
