Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the enterprise Application Security program, the full-time contract Application Security Engineer will integrate security controls throughout the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Configure and execute SAST and SCA scans, establishing recurring scanning schedules and reviewing scan results
- Onboard applications into security scanning solutions and support remediation of identified vulnerabilities
- Provide hands-on application security expertise, including secure code reviews and assessment of software supply-chain risks
Required qualifications
- Experience with security scanning tools such as Checkmarx
- Familiarity with source code management and DevOps platforms like GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins
- Proficiency in secure coding practices and vulnerability assessment
- Understanding of third-party and open-source library/package security
- Knowledge of software supply-chain risk management
