Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the security of software for cloud services and distributed systems, the full-time remote Application Security Engineer will lead threat modeling, conduct secure code reviews, and build application security tooling to enhance the secure software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews to identify and mitigate risks in the development lifecycle
- Perform in-depth secure code reviews and application security assessments across various services
- Build and integrate application security tooling into CI/CD pipelines to catch vulnerabilities before deployment
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years in application security, product security, or software engineering with a strong security focus
- Software development experience in modern languages such as Python, Go, or Java
- Hands-on experience with application security tooling and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent hands-on experience
