Job Summary
To enhance application security for a leading mortgage company, the full-time remote Application Security Engineer will perform threat modeling, secure design reviews, and collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling, secure design reviews, and architecture assessments
- Review security scanning results and support risk-based remediation efforts
- Define secure coding standards and deliver developer security training
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information security, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in application security or secure software engineering
- Experience partnering with development teams on secure SDLC and vulnerability remediation
- Prior software development experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of web, API, and distributed application security
