Application Software Engineer
Job Summary
Building innovative tools for wildfire resilience and utilities applications, the full-time Application Software Engineer will develop full-stack features using an Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, and Postgres stack while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement full-stack web applications to support decision-making for land managers and utility planners
- Collaborate with product, design, data engineering, and science teams to resolve ambiguities and deliver high-quality features
- Turn designs into responsive and accessible user interfaces, ensuring optimal user experience
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping full-stack web applications
- Hands-on experience creating responsive, accessible UIs in collaboration with product and design teams
- Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases, with PostgreSQL experience as a bonus
- Comfortable working in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
