Applications Engineer
Job Summary
To support customer manufacturing needs, the remote Applications Engineer will evaluate requirements, provide engineering solutions, and offer technical support while managing applications and maintaining product knowledge.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate customer manufacturing needs and deliver tailored engineering solutions
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products and services, including CAD/CAM software solutions
- Compile and present professional project documentation to customers to achieve positive sales outcomes
Required qualifications:
- Recognized qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the metal cutting or precision tooling industry
- Medium-level competence with CAD/CAM software, specifically NX and Fusion 360
- Experience programming 3 and 5 Axis CNC Turning and Milling machines
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing concepts related to Kennametal products
