Applied AI Engineer
Job Summary
Transforming complex healthcare workflows into reliable AI solutions, the full-time Applied AI Engineer will design and optimize AI agents, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop evaluation frameworks while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and iterate on agentic AI systems for healthcare workflows such as documentation and revenue cycle automation
- Develop long-horizon agent behavior and define success criteria for clinical agents
- Prototype new AI capabilities and harden them into reliable production systems with performance monitoring
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or applied AI
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with production applications using APIs and observability tools
- Experience with LLM applications, AI agents, and machine learning systems
- Ability to design evaluation frameworks and performance monitoring for AI systems
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-impact environments to translate complex problems into scalable AI solutions
