Applied AI Engineer
Job Summary
Building agentic systems, the full-time Applied AI Engineer will design and implement AI capabilities that enable MINERVA to understand requests, reason over community knowledge, and take reliable actions, while working remotely or in Seattle.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build agents that understand requests and take action based on community knowledge
- Integrate neural and symbolic reasoning into applied AI behavior, ensuring safety and reliability
- Evaluate agent quality and iterate on systems to improve performance in production environments
Required qualifications
- Five or more years in software engineering with a focus on applied AI or machine learning
- Hands-on experience with agentic systems or retrieval-augmented systems in production
- Strong understanding of grounding, tool use, and the limitations of AI models
- Proficiency in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals
- Experience ensuring AI behavior is safe, reliable, and observable
