Applied ML Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance AI-driven phone applications, the full-time remote Applied ML Engineer will evaluate existing foundation models, identify adaptation needs, and experiment with fine-tuning techniques to improve model performance for various use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate existing foundation models against target phone use cases and identify adaptation needs
• Experiment with lightweight fine-tuning techniques to enhance model performance for intent recognition and task execution
• Build evaluation datasets and benchmarks to measure model quality and reliability

Required qualifications

• Strong background in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or NLP
• Practical experience working with LLMs and open-weight models
• Experience with model fine-tuning techniques such as SFT, LoRA/QLoRA
• Proficiency in PyTorch and common ML tooling
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, benchmarking, and dataset preparation
