AR Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a trusted behavioral health program, the full-time AR Collections Specialist will manage audits, claims submissions, and resolve billing issues while working remotely within the Eastern or Central Time Zones.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of client accounts to ensure accurate billing and authorization
• Address and resolve rejected claims, ensuring compliance with billing rules
• Communicate with department staff to ensure accuracy in charge capture and billing processes

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing or related fields
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or similar process management methodologies preferred
• Proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software for billing tasks
• Knowledge of state and federal patient confidentiality laws and compliance regulations
