AR Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced AR Medical Billing Specialist for a full-time remote position, responsible for preparing and submitting billing data, maintaining accurate patient information, and managing claims appeals and denials.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
• Investigate and appeal denied claims while monitoring and recording patient payments
• Access EMRs to locate patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring accuracy

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
• Solid understanding of billing, coding, and EMR systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and collaboration tools
