Architectural Lead

Job Summary

Leading the architecture of the Teradata Hardware platforms, the full-time Architectural Lead will manage the technical roadmap across various hardware components, evaluate emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance hardware capabilities, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of Teradata Hardware platforms, setting the technical roadmap across compute, memory, storage, networking, and firmware
• Act as design authority for future platform generations, making key trade-offs among performance, reliability, and cost
• Guide platform quality throughout the lifecycle, including design validation, integration, and root-cause analysis of field failures

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 15+ years in hardware, systems, or platform architecture with a record of technical leadership
• Deep expertise in enterprise server architecture, including CPUs, memory, storage, and networking
• Experience with MPP, data warehouse, or distributed database platforms
• Proven ability to architect and deliver multiple generations of an enterprise hardware product
