Architectural Lead, Hardware Platform

Job Summary

Leading the architecture of the Teradata Hardware platforms, the full-time Architectural Lead, Hardware Platform will manage the technical roadmap across various components and evaluate emerging technologies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the hardware platforms, setting the technical roadmap across compute, memory, storage, and networking
• Act as design authority for future platform generations, making key trade-offs among performance, reliability, and cost
• Lead technical reviews and guide platform quality across the lifecycle, ensuring design validation and integration

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 15+ years in hardware, systems, or platform architecture with significant technical leadership experience
• Deep expertise in enterprise server architecture, including CPUs, memory, and networking
• Experience with distributed database platforms and understanding of how hardware design impacts performance
• Proven ability to architect and deliver multiple generations of enterprise hardware products
