Arizona Licensed Accounting Manager

Job Summary

To support the finance and accounting team, the full-time Arizona Licensed Accounting Manager will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee month-end and year-end closes, and supervise a team of accountants in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for assigned markets
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior accountants while processing and approving transactions in General Ledgers
• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls, and support year-end audits and financial reporting packages

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with an active CPA license
• 5+ years of public accounting or 8+ years of private industry accounting experience, including management experience
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP principles and SOX internal control environments
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity in a newly formed entity
