Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives, the full-time salaried Assistant Compliance Auditor will perform internal and external audits related to documentation, coding, and billing for hospital and outpatient services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct proactive and reactive audits to ensure compliance with documentation, medical necessity, and accurate coding and billing
- Monitor and stay updated on regulations, standards, and guidelines in coding and billing
- Provide compliance training and education for physicians and staff using various presentation tools
Required qualifications
- High School Equivalency Diploma
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Coding Certificate through AHIMA or AAPC, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
