Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time Arizona Licensed Cytogenetics Technologist will perform FISH analysis on various specimen types, review test requisitions, and summarize results utilizing ISCN nomenclature while working remotely from Phoenix, AZ.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform FISH analysis on all specimen types and distinguish between normal and abnormal results
- Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis and document corrective actions as needed
- Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature and comply with company policies and procedures
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- 5 years or more experience in FISH analysis
- ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)
- Previous experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
