Job Summary
To support patients in a cardiac rehabilitation program, the part-time Remote Exercise Physiologist, classified as a 1099 contractor, will provide exercise programming, monitor patient progress, and offer education on heart-healthy lifestyles while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and monitor patients' progress, adjusting rehabilitation plans as necessary
- Implement personalized exercise plans and lead group exercise sessions for patients with cardiovascular issues
- Provide behavioral coaching and education on lifestyle modifications, promoting adherence to rehabilitation plans
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- ACSM or AACVPR Certification (CCRP, EP-C, CEP, or RCEP) and CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting, particularly with cardiac patients
- Experience leading group classes or as a Group Fitness Instructor
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management and exercise prescription techniques
