Arizona Licensed Hospice Veterinarian
Job Summary
To support compassionate end-of-life care, the part-time Arizona Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services to pet families throughout Chandler and Gilbert, Arizona, while enjoying professional autonomy and a flexible schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Independently travel to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
- Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions and maintain accurate veterinary medical records
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in Arizona or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license for travel between appointments
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with empathy during sensitive end-of-life conversations
- Availability for rotational weekend scheduling as required
